I will start by telling you about the possibilities and advantages of coming over to Spain for an Egg donation treatment. I will now summarise this Information for you.
IVF-Spain Alicante is an international clinic that specialises in difficult and extreme cases of infertility. We see a minimum of 33 International patients a month here in our clinic for first consultations.
We are a private clinic in the city of Alicante; we have four highly experienced doctors who have immensely extensive careers and have travelled around the world working in the field of gynaecology and assisted reproduction. Our donors are personally selected by our own doctors undergoing thorough physical and genetic screening.
As you may be aware egg donation in Spain is anonymous. However, the Spanish law states that the donor must resemble the recipient so that the child “fits in” with their family. We ensure this through the use of Phenotypes, photos, and a special programme called Face Mapping.
The Face Mapping allows us to measure the features of your face from the photographs provided and will show us a variety of donors that would be a great match for you. The medical team carries the ultimate responsibility to choose the right donor for you. Our goal is to find your twin sister! It takes us 15-21 days approximately to confirm your perfect match.
In Spain they can take donors up until 35 years of age. However, at IVF-Spain Alicante do not accept donors above 30. This is another reason for our incomparable success rates.
Our donors undergo full screening.
· Genetic test (a test that allows us to rule out 180 different genetic diseases)
· Sexually transmitted disease testing including Rubella HIV (everything!)
· Drug testing
· All hormone tests including AMH
· Psychological analysis
· Education
· Medical history of family
We have a variety of different treatment options. The most popular treatments are our Exclusive programs. This is because they include a blastocyst guarantee. For example, with the Exclusive egg donation we guarantee up to 3 blastocysts, meaning that if your first attempt wasn´t successful we would generate a blastocyst/s for a second or even third transfer. This treatment as a cumulative pregnancy rate of 92%.
At IVF-Spain we believe in a personalized patient care and so, we really would like to know you in person and discuss your case in depth with our professionals. Therefore, we recommend you to visit us in Alicante for an initial meeting (1 day only), where you will be familiarized with the clinic and the staff involved in your treatment process. And of course we will then organise convenient time frame for your actual treatment (10-12 days approximately to stay in Alicante).
Together with one of our Doctors, we will create the best and most suitable treatment plan for you according to your special needs. At your visit, we will perform an ultrasound, a doppler and transfer test. The consultation in total will take about 4 hours, so there will be plenty of time to answer any doubts you may have. We also will go through administrative matters together. We will give you a prescription and if you wish, you can get the medication at the pharmacy which is around the corner. Medication in Spain is cheaper than in other countries.
A first visit costs 200 Euros, is non binding and the following is included:
